Limoges / Le Grand Bourg

Limoges is the second largest city in Nouvelle Acquitaine (after Bordeaux), and its old town quarter features half-timbered buildings that recall its medieval past. We take a short stroll and grab lunch in this area, before heading back to Le Grand Bourg.

Le Grand Bourg is a classic French village, centered around the chuch, and pretty much featuring one of everything (butcher, bakery, hairdresser, etc), with a nice standard red font labelling each business!

On Friday we take it easy at the gite, before bidding farewell to our extremely friendly hosts and heading east towards Auvergne.
